Blood blisters are caused when the blood vessels under the surface of the skin are ruptured. The most common cause of this rupturing is some form of trauma, such as hitting your thumb with a hammer, to the area. They frequently occur in areas that regular blisters occur. The feet are most prone to blood blisters due to poorly sized footwear. The hands are also susceptible for this type of blister,

Dr. Keith Ramsey answered:

What insect bites and leaves a cluster of liquid filled blisters?

Infected bite

Skin
Any bite or break in the skin can become infected and result in a blister. Use an antibiotic ointment. You might need an oral antibiotic if it is not responding or if it is spreading. The liquid in the blister is usually contagious.

What could cause rash, blistering/swelling, and scabbing on ear.. with no history of burns, scrapes, insect bites, or contact with allergens?

? Impetigo

Ankle_sprain
What you describe sounds suspicious for impetigo, a strep infection of your skin. You can have a tiny break in your skin that you were not even aware of, and the normal skin bacteria could then enter in and cause a local strep infection. The "scabbing" is what makes me especially suspicious. Try washing with antibacterial wash, put on antibiotic ointment, and if not better in a few days, see doc.

Is blood blister from mosquito bite?

I don't know

Blood
The female mosquito deposits saliva that contains anticoagulants in the skin. Anticoagulants allow for bleeding. However, I don't know if this would be able to cause a blood blister.
