The blocked side doesn't have fluid accumulated in it as this can drain into the uterus and be toxic to embryos from the good side 3. It depends on block: It will depend on whether the Fallopian tube fimbria is blocked from the inside by previous infection or blocked from the outside by adhesions and "kinking" of the tubal "fingers" The latter can be unblocked by surgery with lysis of the adhesions.
