I have abdominal bloating and loose stools everyday for over 4month; what are the differences between IBS and chronic colitis?

Many causes chronic diarrhea/bloat- many treatable/reversible so wud seek MD after discontinue milk/milk products, artificial sugar and sodas& caffeine for couple weeks as these are common culprits. Red flags for urgent attention: blood, fever. weight loss, anemia. IBS can be caused by stress of any kind, or by viral/bacterial gastroenteritis. It is unlikely that your symptoms are due to ovarian cancer. Irritable bowel is more likely. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor for an evaluation.

Depends: I would need to know more about your hx, and what exactly was done during the rectal exam.
