First find Diagnosis: Yes it can be gastritis. But that diagnosis can only be confirmed with upper endoscopy(Gastroscopy). If that is the cause then it is easy to treat and it can be cured. Most often we use antacids of one type or another and this eliminates acid in the stomach which then heals in one or two weeks. Acid Reducer: Try an OTC acid-reducer like zantac (ranitidine) or prilosec for 1-2 weeks. Don't take it longer than that without consulting your doctor. If it doesn't help then you need to see your doctor for further workup. In the meantime avoid fatty foods as well as spicy or acidic foods. LLQ pain: May be colitis , proctitis ( bowel movements normal?) or diverticultis but you are young . Rarely could be ovairan or tubal (need CT or sono), or even mycoplasma vaginitis (culture or just treat)- it can be treated with zithromax if not allergic.
