The leans will be the size of a kitchen match on a pale pink base surmounted by clear blister with an indentation (umbilication) at the top. The blisters turn cloudy and then collapse into scabbed lesions. A past history of chickenpox is not always accurate. I recommend a dr. Confirm the diagnosis promptly ...Read more

Blister or Rash?: What do you mean by rash? If ur talking about cold sores on or around your lip it takes times. Cold sores are most often from herpes virus type 1. It is what it is...: There can be multiple causes for a "painful red blister rash"--just as there are many variations for the color "red". Rashes are most difficult to diagnose without actually being seen by your doctor. So, rather than to guess about the diagnosis, you should schedule an appointment with your dermatologist /family doctor. If this is MRSA (methicillin resistent staph aureus), it could prove dangerous. ...Read more

The left side of my face is numb & has 4 marks that look like long thin flat blisters. I also have pain in my jaw. What could this blister/rash be?
Possible herpes: You may be experiencing early herpes zoster (shingles). Tough to tell at this early stage. I recommend 2000 mg of bht (butylated hydroxytoluene) per day, until the lesions resolve (or you find out it is something else). Bht is available over the counter in a health food store. Don't drink alcohol when consuming bht. See the free e-book, wipe out herpes with bht. ...Read more

You know the old saying: "if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it is". Varicella zoster, the technical name, results when a person who has had chicken pox has it re-activated later in life. While the rash is usually in the distribution of one nerve root, bilateral cases have been reported but they are rare. The rash of vz is typically a blister the itches and burns. The rash of scabies consists of a very itchy collection of tiny blisters that, in people with good hygeine, may be seen on the spaces between the fingers or on the legs. It lasts until treated. Vz often starts with pain and then a few days later the erruption of blisters that dry up after a week or two. It is really unlikely that you and your girls have two different things. I know of cases where an adult caring for a child with chicken pox had an attack of vz afterwards. Children without immunity to chicken pox can catch them from an adult with vz. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is usually not very helpful. In vz the treatment if caught early may be an antiviral drug. For the pain, Gabapentin or Pregabalin are prescribed. Most doctors suggest the zostavax injection to prevent vz in people over 60 because the incidence of post herpetic neuralgia increases with age.
Good luck! I know what it feels like. ...Read more
