Blister On Tip Fo Toe
My so got stitches on the crease of his big toe (awkward spot) and now has a white itchy bump, blister like but harder, that's on his toe. Infection?
It does not sound : Like an infection but since we cat see it bring your son back to the doc to take a look or somehow post a picture for further comment. Infections are usually red, Or if there is a pus this is another sign of infection. The sutures might just be a little tight and that is the "itchy bump"..... ...Read more

A painful callous on bottom of pinky toe I've clipped off with sterile nail clippers numerous times over the years painful when it returns?
The : The thing you need to know about blood blisters is once "popped, " they are very susceptible to infection. The bloody fluid is a perfect media for bacterial growth. With that in mind (assuming you're in a state of good health, not a diabetic or have poor circulation or are taking any blood thinners), go ahead and pop it. Get it from the side, where the skin meets the blister, and use a sterile instrument. Wash it with soap and warm water, and keep it clean and dry with a dry, sterile dressing (a band aid is ok). Don't use any topical antibiotic like bacitracin, neosporin, etc. Just keep it clean and dry until it's no longer "open" (draining). You might see a light red ring around it after a day or so, which is normal inflammation you need to heal. Watch for signs of infection: increased pain, increased drainage or pus, swelling, redness, foul odor. At the first sign of infection, head to your doctor for a prescription for an antibiotic. Try not to get arrested for practicing medicine without a license! ...Read more
On May 25th I sliced the tip of my big toe open. It's healed completely, but still hurts horribly when I "stub" it & there's a numb lump under my toe?
Yikes.: The tips of toes, and fingers for that matter, just don't like to be sliced. They are typically a painful heal and the injured pain receptors will take many months to calm down completely. The numb lump is either part of the initial injury or secondary due to an altered gait. Either way, it too, will more that likely pass. I speak from experience. ...Read more
Big toe nail fungus and blood blister underside of toe. Saw a podiatrist, he clipped the excess toenail and the pain is now under the toe.
Read below: If this is a cut, not athletes foot fungus, i would put a very thin layer of neosporin ointmen and a bandaid to the area 2 times per day. After the cut heals, put vaseline on the area for a few days to make sure it does not break open. If this is red, swollen or infected, please see your podiatrist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Daughter fell and her finger bent back & cracked. Painful & burns. Bruised on underside of finger. Chance it might be broke. Have a finger brace on it?
Itchy bump on side of big toe knuckle and on top of knuckle. Isn't painful, but very itchy and irritated when wear close-toed shoes.
Try simple first.: I am not clear as to which knuckle you are describing. It is either the joint in the big toe itself or the joint where the big toe meets the main body of the foot. If the bump becomes worse while wearing a certain shoe style, then change the shoes. This may be the easiest solution. Possibly there is an underlying fungal infection. Try using a topical anti fungal. Have it examined by a doctor. ...Read more
Possible scar: If the most superficial layer of skin is involved in the blistering the chances of scaring are low, but the deeper the involvement in the skin the higher the chances of scaring. If the pressure or shearing forces creating the blister are repetitive in the same area, then callus will form thickening the skin and changing its normal appearance. ...Read more
No!!: Absolutely not. If you do, there is no barrier against an infection. Let it heal and the blister will resolve on its own. ...Read more
I missed the cellphone power button and pressed my middle finger down hard on the glass.. its red on e tip. can one fracture a finger tip this way?
Punched glass, the swelling has gone down some. I can feel a little bump on my 4th metacarpal on my ring finger. Finger & knuckle-wrist is real sore?
Be seen: I would recommend being seen and having an X-ray. There is something called a "boxers fracture" that can be caused by striking something with a closed fist. The "bump" you are describing could be a displaced fracture which might require reduction for a good result. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
