I have a white blister on my nose with redness around it. It's been there for almost 20 yrs the redness seems to be getting worse?
Should be evaluated: If you have had this lesion for 20 years and it it changing for the worse, you should have it examined. A dermatologist would be the best route to go, as he/she can biopsy the lesion-if necessary-to definitively make a diagnosis and treat.
See a dermatologist: Cannot diagnose without seeing this. Could be a contact dermatitis. What have you touched your nose with?
I been sick for a week with flu runny nose and caugh. Now I got blisters under my nose? What to do and what r they
Nasal blisters: This is likely to be a superimposed skin infection (impetigo) due to a bacterial cause. If the blisters extend to the lip it may be due to a viral cause (herpes simplex). Antibiotic or antiviral treatment is recommended. This would be administered topically or orally depending on the severity of the presentation. Suggest seeing your family practitioner for assessment and treatment.
Do I need a prescription cream for a mass of fever blister under my nose. Have been trying abreve but not working?
I have had a cold for a few days and I have been blowing my nose a lot and now I have what looks like cold sore blisters below my nose. What can it be?
Sore nose: This sounds like abrasions from blowing your nose so much with superficial skin breakdown. There may be a mild superficial localized infection in the skin. A topical antibiotic like neosporin or Bacitracin 2-3 times a day should clear it. If it gets worse, then go see your doctor or an otolaryngologist.See 1 more doctor answer
Yes: Among other things. Get it looked at please.
I have fever blisters in my nose. I'm taking aciclovir and lysine. I feel like the sores are spreading into my sinuses. Not sure what else I can do?
Get it seen by a doc: Any blister on the nose should be evaluated by a physician, to assess for shingles (varicella). Called hutchinson's sign, it can signal an ophthalmic herpes zoster eruption, which can render you blind. The reason for this is that the nerve tips on the nose share the nerve that also branches out as the ophthalmic nerve to the eye.See 1 more doctor answer

Can water blisters spread to my nose? I was itching my nose and now I think they may have spread.
It depends...: It depends what you mean by water blisters. A blister from friction, as you might get on your hand after a lot of digging with a shovel without gloves, is not transmissible. Vesicles, tiny fluid filled bubbles on the skin, from viral infections, however can spread. Be careful. Wash your hands frequently. Cover the area, and try not to touch your face (esp. Nose, eyes, mouth).
I have what looks like a blister/wart on my nose, it's been there for 3 years. I am tempted to pop it, what is it and how should it be removed?
NO: Nasal skin lesions should be treated by a dermatologist or pcp. This area of the face is prone to infection if a skin lesion is manually treated. Sterile treatment is recommended. I would see your physician, especially since the exact diagnosis is unknown.
3 month old bump inside nostril opposite the septum. Feels like a blister and now my nose is always congested on that side. Other side fine.
Since having a blister (cold sore) up my nose it hasn't healed and bleeds often..... Can you help?
I have a small white blister between my eye and nose, at the end of my eyebrow and bottem of my chin. Very painfull w/ fluid in them. What could it be
I used a face wash with salicylic acid in it. It has now caused a blister on side of my nose. The swelling has gone down. Will bactroban (mupirocin) help?
Possibly: Whenever there is an opening in the skin, there is the likelihood of infection, which will delay healing. Bactroban (mupirocin) is an excellent topical antibiotic and should prevent secondary infection. If you have never used this cream before, I advise testing it elsewhere on your skin first to be sure you do not react to this as well.
I have a fever blister that is in my nose and I think it has spread to my eye. Is this possible? My eye is very red, vision becoming a little blurry
Nasociliary nerve: The varicella zoster virus (chickenpox) can reactivate simultaneously in the eye and the tip of the nose. Known as hutchinson's sign, the common pathway is the nasociliary nerve. This is theoretically possible with herpes simplex virus (fever blisters), but that virus usually affects the lips, the eyes and the genitals. See an ophthalmologist asap to prevent complications of inflammation.See 1 more doctor answer
I have fever blisters (HSV-1) inside my nose. Also have a headache & don't feel well from them. Why would I get these in my nose?
Original location: Fever blisters of HSV-1 are recurrences, and happen in places at or near the original infection. An original infection tends to happen in childhood, and causes sores on the lips and gums, plus sometimes the nostrils and facial areas near the nose and mouth. The recurrences will happen on SOME of those original areas, usually on the lips, and sometimes a few other places, such as the nostrils.
