Trust: Your doctor. I am sure you are very anxious, but these questions always involve some waiting to see what happens. If you do not trust your doctor's advice for any reason, then 1) talk honestly with him/her about it, and 2) if necessary see another doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Ivf pregnant week8 dr confirm triplet blighted hCG 8k. However saw a yolk sac in 1sac@week9 when consulted another dr. Chances of remain preg? Week7 hcg7k
Miscarriage?: There should be more than a yolk sac by now. There should be a fetus with a heart beat. It would appear that you have a missed abortion or what is normally called a miscarriage. This is unfortunate. Your infertility specialist that performed the ivf would be the best one to determine this. ...Read more
Lmp1/28.Hcg levels 8968, 8956, 12000.Yolk sac measured @ 5w6d no baby.Ectopic ruled out.Could late ovulation be making my dates wrong?Blighted ovum?
Repeat Sono.: The HCG levels you provide are meaningless without a times scale. You are about 8 days less along than would be expected from the lmp. Could be late ovulation vs blighted ovum. A repeat sono in a week will answer the question. If viable there should be an embryo and a heartbeat. Good luck. ...Read more
14dpo hCG 174, 16dpo hCG 342, 22dpo hCG 5656, progesterone 54. Could fast doubling time indicate molar pregnancy?
No: Molar pregnancies are almost never diagnosed this early. Good news! The hCG is rising at a mostly appropriate rate, the "doubling time" is not exact. Why are so many quants being done so many days in a row? ...Read more
Lmp 2/24/13. +serum pregnant 4/1/13.Spotting started 4/10/13 with hCG 215. Us showed no fetus, small sac. 4/12 hCG 310. Could this be a viable pregnancy?
Early pregnancy: The timing is right for a 5 week pregnancy but the HCG is much lower than may be normal. If you are not having any spotting, pain or bleeding, then repeating the ultrasound in 1 - 2 weeks will let you know definitively what is going on. Still, if any of the other symptoms occur, you should see your doctor. ...Read more
Did us ges sac and yolk sac but no baby, last period feb 7 2014. Hcg level 15000 is this a blighted ovum?
Maybe: But your ultrasound was done too early to say, just as likely everything is fine. If feb 7 was your certain lmp, then you'd be exactly 6 w 1d today (3/21/14, ) ultrasound next week would give you a much more certain answer. ...Read more
6w 4d pregnant with fetal pole, yolk sac ...heartbeat detectd...but seems gestational sac is irregular...sign of miscarriage?
Don't worry: The most important thing is that the fetus has a heartbeat. Did they tell you an actual fetal heart rate? Sometimes the gestational sac looks different. There could be a nearby fibroid or subchorionic hemorrhage. Signs of a miscarriage are uterine cramping and bleeding. If you are not having those symptoms I would not worry about this. The sonogram can be repeated in 1-2 weeks. ...Read more
Ok: Most ivf clinics only measure HCG levels approximately 9 days after a day 5 embryo transfer. However, some clinics feel that the combination of HCG levels and Progesterone levels have a more predictive value of a good pregnancy than HCG levels alone. Personally, we only measure hcg. Hope this helps and good luck. ...Read more

Ivf pregnancy week 6. Triplets measure at week 4+ no yolk and heartbeat seen. Is this normal? Or blighted ovum?
