You can't tell: You cannot tell whether or not this is a blighted ovum just based on the presence or absence of pregnancy symptoms. May women will have more symptoms in one healthy pregnancy versus another healthy pregnancy. Difficult: There are pros and cons of each. Waiting is the most natural choice. It may take 2 weeks or longer before bleeding begins and then it may last 2 weeks or longer and be painful. A D&C does carry risk of both the procedure and the anesthesia. Psychologically many women prefer the D&C so that it will be over and they can begin the healing process. See a specialist: You should have ovulation return in about a month after a miscarriage. There are reasons for no ovulation, including the tests you are using are incorrect. Check your bbt, opk and then your doc can also look at ultrasound and hormone levels in some cases to make a diagnosis. Failing to ovulate is usually an easy problem to correct.
