Tha'r She Blows!!!!!: This is very common: blowing air back into your ear when blowing your nose but the overall congestion won't allow it to escape. Then after a while some fluid can collect, and then if that hangs out long enough it can become infected. If the fluid or air can be removed with decongestants you'll feel better. And be careful blowing the nose: gently, one nostril at a time. chewing gum may help too. ...Read more

I blew my nose really hard and this thing that looked like it had roots came out could it be a poyolp?
Polyp or mucus: Probabky not a poly as they are not things you can blow out- it is more likely to be a mass of mucus that is in the form of the nasal cavity, or a blood clot, or a mass of fungus (from a fungal infection). Probably worth checking in with your local ENT if you are concerned. Could diagnose polyps as well. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Stretching : Your face has bones and cartilage which sustain some stretching with a forceful blow of the nose. Don'tDriveIfYouGetIt: Now, you don't mean to say that you've been stumbling around like this for the last two years, right? Driving. Swimming. Bathing. Changing the tiles on your roof? You are increasing: the pressure in your entire head when you blow your nose hard or sneeze. They liken a sneeze to be like air moving at pre-hurricane speeds of 100 mph. When you blow your nose, it's closer to 40 mph but not enough to blow your eyes out of their sockets. Otherwise, we'd have a lot more patients in the eye clinic. So blowing one's nose is less than sneezing! Try not to blow so hard. ...Read more
