I have an unexplained small puncture wound on my leg that was bleeding. B4 I saw it Ididnt even know I had it. Couldsomething have been injected intome?
Apply pressure: Cover the wound with a clean cloth and apply direct pressure into the area that is bleeding. If the wound is on an extremity, elevate the extremity above the heart, or lay down and elevate the wound. Look at the clock and firmly hold the pressure, (no looking) for 10 minutes. If this pressure does not solve the problem, go in to minor er for evaluation. ...Read more
Bleeding time: I would be more concerned if you developed bruising easily from minor trauma, had bruises develop with no history of trauma or had ongoing bleeding when you flossed and brushed your teeth. Unless you are using a stopwatch to time how long it takes to clot, it is hard to identify how long it takes to stop bleeding. It also has to do with where the injury occurs, how deep the injury is, etc. ...Read more
4 cm jagged tear. Bleeding and pain but is getting better. Waited to see gyno. Happened 4 days ago. Did I wait to long? Is bleeding still normal?
Cut 4 cm x 4 days: In general if a cut does not stop bleeding on it s own within 30 -60 minutes seek medical treatment to get it closed, Normally we close cuts (and 4 cm is large) within 24 hours, as the risk of infection is much higher after 24 hours. See a doc/urgent care today if still bleeding may close it enough to stop the bleeding and may need antibiotic. ...Read more
Needs an exam: There are alot of possibilities for this. Often we find small cervical polyps on exam that can be easily removed. Schedule an appt for an exam and discussion of options. ...Read more

Superfast healing: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation (red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day and protected from trauma. Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected. ...Read more
Stopped by now: If coital activity 11 hours ago caused abrasion or laceration of (or around) the clitoris, no significant bleeding should be going on any longer. If so, you should seek medical attention. The area will be painful for 4 - 7 days, but should heal with no long-term consequences. Healing might be more problematic if the bleeding is persistent, signifying a more serious injury. ...Read more
