Leaky vessels: Previa: Placenta overlies the cervix/birth canal. Gr 1 means placenta is close, Gr 4 means it's directly overlying/blocking the baby's exit -- high chance of preterm labor & bleeding; you'd need a C/S at 36-37wks. Home test is answer: Implantation is more common on the internet than in real life. The bleeding occurs a few days after conception (in the rare cases that it occurs at all). Potential problem: There are no guidelines for evaluation or treatment in this situation. In cases of post menopausal bleeding, a uterine lining thickness >4 mm requires a biopsy. We have no guidelines on what if anything is necessary in cases of no symptoms when the lining is found to be thickened.
