Mouth sores bleeding gums nose bleeds bruises head aches joint pain and fever over the past 2 weeks what's wrong with me?
2 separate problems: These 2 problems should be addressed separately. 1. swollen gums - can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease. See your dentist. 2. Nose bleeds: It is the winter and it is possible your nares have dried out and cracked. Consider using a saline spray and see if this fixes the problem. If the bleeding is only from one nostril always and you cannot see the source of bleeding consider ENT appt to make sure there is no abnormality. Its DRYNESS ...YOU NEED HUMIDIFICATION in your bedroom at night and going into your bathroom running HOT water in shower until the room STEAMS UP!!!(2X/day) Do this for 7-10 days and the dryness, crustiness and bleeding from that crust will stop!!!! Check your BP: If the nose bleed is always from the same nostril it could be due to a superficial vessel, or dryness in the nose. Apply saline nasal spray to keep the nostrils moist, check the blood pressure to make sure it is not elevated as this is a common cause of increased frequency of nose bleeds in adults, eliminate over the counter medications that predispose to bleeding like anti-inflamatories, aspirin. ...Read more
