Yes: Sub-acute bleeding by definition is bleeding that occurs 3 -21 days after the injury or fall. I do not know the frequency of these types of bleeds but they do occur. Thus, after any head injury, even if rhe acute ct or MRI scan is negative, the patient needs to be watched for a few weeks afterward by family and friends and follow up with their primary doctor for rechecks. ...Read more

Bad fall 4+ wks ago. Brain bleed, both sides, brain off center, on CT 3 weeks after fall. Steriods given, not worse but not better. Next step? meds?
Bad fall, brain bleed. In hospital. Dr put on Decadron (dexamethasone) and Seraquel. Low BP because of seraquel. Would this cause buzzing sound in head? Pain in head?

Filter: It does appear that anticoagulant therapy would be risky in this situation. An alternative is to insert an IVC filter to prevent the blood clot from traveling from the leg to the lungs.
