Serial HCG levels: The best follow-up for your symptoms is serial blood HCG levels and ultrasound. Its possible you had a miscarriage and several blood HCG levels will clarify this. If the HCG level continues to rise normally, you are still pregnant. If it is dropping fast, you probably had a miscarriage. There are some grey areas, so its best to have an Ob/Gyn follow you. WHAT DID they tell u: They should have gotten an OB consult or called your OB doc, either u passed eveything, or nothing ever developed, or have an ectopic pregnancy ( depends if u previously had an ultrasound with a baby and a htbeat) all of my pts get an us at 7-8 weeks so i knwo if it sisviable or not, u need to see your OB asap or go back to the er if heavy bleeding or bad pain before u see your ob. ...Read more
