I've had jock itch for about a week or so and probably close to a week I've had bleeding around my anus and from my anus although I am unsure. Is this?
Thrush doesn't seem to be going away and has gotten more sore since using clotrimazole cream for 3 days, also have bleeding around the anus now, help?
Upgrade in treatment: It sounds like you may need an 'upgrade' in treatment if your candidal symptoms aren't any better. Sometimes I'll prescribe oral anti fungal medicines to rout this kind of infection. I would guess that's what you need - so please call your doc for a follow up. Germs these days are getting tougher, and you hate to think that yeast has some resistance but it could. Time to call out the 'big guns'. ...Read more
Bleeding, multiple swelling around anus, around it raw a bit. I do have hidrandenitis suppurativa but been also going through abdominal pain, nausea?
Possible IBD?: Inflammation (infection, ischemic, ibd) of large intestine = colitis. For ibd: ulcerative colitis primarily involves the lining of the large intestine whereas crohn's is transmural (full thickness involvement by) inflammation of any part of the GI tract (from mouth to anus). Both involve similar pathways of inflammation, are similarly treated, increase risk of colon cancer, & may require surgery. ...Read more
Many things: Bleeding from your anus could be from cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease, hemorrhoids or some kind of trauma to the anal area to name a few. A direct visual exam and digital rectal exam or anoscopy are useful initial tests, and can be performed by your primary care doctor. ...Read more
See a doc asap: It is hard to know what the cause of your bleeding is. It could be a hemorrhoid (either external or internal) or an anal fissure (especially if there is a painful sensation like a paper cut at your anus) or it could be bleeding from something inside your colon. If you're bleeding a lot, you should go to the ER now and get it checked out. ...Read more

No worries...: Hemorrhoids or "piles" are normal anatomic veins at the anus. They are also referred to as "anal cushions". If you sit or stand a lot, or have constipation or diarrhea, these veins can enlarge and become evident. They might cause itching, pain or bleeding. They will shrink with time once the triggering event is abated. Good luck! ...Read more
Internal anal pain alternating sides, few days of the left, few days on the right then back again. No bleeding at all. Slipping feel in rectum/anus?
Hemmorhoids: Are most common cause of anal pain, but this is a strange pain pattern. Slipping is not a typical complaint, no idea what is meant by it. You don't give any other information about age, other conditions, etc. So this would be a pure guess. You really should have an exam to get to the cause of this. Good luck! ...Read more
I am bleeding from my anus. I'm bleeding internally but it's very close to the end of the rectum. I think it might be internal hemorroids, help please?
Perhaps: Rectal bleeding should always be initially evaluated by a doctor. Yes it is certainly possible that it is hemorrhoids (eat plenty of fiber daily) but other causes of rectal bleeding are common in your age group such as inflammation of the rectum (proctitis) or other causes. A scope that looks into the rectum will aid in the diagnosis and rule out serious causes. ...Read more

Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids are common in pregnancy, and bright red blood is a common indicator of having them. Do your best to reduce constipation: liberal fiber and fluid intake, occasional stool softeners, and a Folic Acid supplement to replace your iron-containing prenatal vitamin (or alternate the two). Use of hydrocortisone-containing creams may also provide relief. ...Read more
Varies: This can be as simple as a fissure in the anal opening due to hard or bulky stools. This produces bright red blood in small amounts on the surface of the stool. If darker to purple and mixed in with stool, it could be an infection. It could be something as offensive as trauma from sexual abuse. ...Read more
Hemorrhoids: Those bluish bumps are most likely hemorrhoids, varicose rectal veins. The most important thing is to keep your poops soft by eating a lot of vegetables and fruit and drinking water. You might need to also take a fiber supplement and use a stool softener at least for a while. Here's a link to more information: http://www. Fascrs. Org/patients/conditions/hemorrhoids/. ...Read more
Not likely.: If you mean a few drops of water from the toilet flushing then the answer is not likely. Any open wounds or sores are always predisposed to infection. But if you cleaned yourself well after using the toilet then you should be ok. What I would be more worried about is why you have a bleeding anus? Hemorrhoids? Laceration? Ulcer? ...Read more
I fingered my girlfriends anus and it started bleeding and she says it doesn't hurt but im freaking out, will she be alright?
Yes and not pregnant:
Closely clipped fingernails are easier to keep clean and less likely to damage delicate tissues. Or use a finger cot. The anus is generally a healthy place, and a small scratch or cut will generally heal. Maybe a little antibiotic ointment applied gently twice a day. I'm sure your girlfriend will appreciate concern, but freaking out doesn't help. ...Read more
Took 4 month old sons temp rectally. Now his anus is bleeding, but I don't know what I did? Should I take him in to be seen? Or what should I do?
Anal fissure: It would be unusual to cause rectal bleeding with a rectal thermometer. Be sure to use Vaseline on end of thermometer for lubrication when using it. If he has constipation or hard stools, he may have a tiny tear, like a paper cut size, that causes bleeding when touched or when passes bowel movement. Use Vaseline on rectum 2-3 times a day for few days, if no resolution, see MD. ...Read more
