Probably should wait: After my patients have nasal or sinus surgery i always recommend waiting one week to do anything that will raise their blood pressure. That includes vigorous exercise and having sexual relations. There are few things worse than engaging in sexual activity and having a major nosebleed allover one's partner. ...Read more

More info needed: In people with bleeding, more info is needed. Is there a history of easy bruising or bleeding? A family history? Medications such as Aspirin or a non-steroidal? Liver disease? Kidney disease? The remainder of the complete blood count is important. There are many causes of high platelets, and many causes of increased bleeding.
