Is the bleach and urine pregnancy test accurate? I heard that it tells you if you are pregnant or not and I need to know a way to tell if I am preg.
No: The internet is full of home-made pregnancy tests using bleach, pine-sol. Wheat/barley or even dandelion leaves. They are not accurate. Don't waste your time. Use a home-pregnancy test from a pharmacy. I did see a study comparing dollar-store home pregnancy test to the more expensive brand-names. The dollar-store home-pregnancy tests were just as accurate. Best wishes!See 1 more doctor answer

The only positive...: The only positive conclusion from any sort of bleach pregnancy test is that you have to go to the store and buy a real urine pregnancy test. They are inexpensive, very accurate at 3 weeks after sex, and sold everywhere. Also, when using bleach, be sure not to wear colored, nice clothes because any accidental splashes will just leave bleach spots on the clothes.
I'm asking for my gf. She had a negative home pregnancy test from the dollar store. Her friend said to the bleach test and it fizzed.
A home pregnancy: Test is accurate and inexpensive. Don't recommend trying to use the bleach test. Retest in one to seven days if she remains late.See 1 more doctor answer
