Seek help: If your symptoms are going on for 5 days and you are starting to feel dizzy, you may need IV fluids. If you are able to keep fluids down and you have access to a drug store, Pedialyte is great for electrolytes. You can also take in fruit juice, sports drinks or broth. Bad pain & diarrhea: If you haven't had much to eat for several days, & you have what sounds like severe pain when you eat you should really be evaluated by a physician without delay. At the very least you are at risk of dehydration. Six days of persistent symptoms is worrisome for significant infection, inflammation, ischemia of the gut or even a disease state elsewhere in the abdomen.
