Possible: Sometimes these can be associated with a urinary tract infection that can present as back pain. Sometimes the activity restriction post op may allow for back pain to occur as well. Yes, the bladder can be removed, but usually only when someone has extensive bladder cancer. Frequent urinary tract infections are not enough reason for surgery.
