Bladder Spasms Blood In Urine
Months of left side/flank pain & 2 neg cts. Then sudden blood in urine/clots, & bladder spasms. diangosis pyelonephritis. Can this explain pain for months?
Partially: Very possible that a low grade infection caused the initial symptoms, then became full blown pyelonephritis , which requires initial IV antibiotics and long term treatment (at lest 3-4 weeks). Then need urologic evaluation to look for anatomic abnormalities for stones, masses, etc. That may be contributing. ...Read more

Micro hematuria: Microhematuria in a 32-year-old female who has never smoked is not very likely to be due to bladder cancer. Bladder cancer is not really genetic in nature. What are the remaining possible causes of intermittant heavy blood in urine if the following tests proved negative: bacteria, lower body xray, internal bladder viewing, and prostate manipulation?
Need what you mean: Are you referring to digital rectal exam when you say "prostate manipulation".What do you mean by "lower body X-ray"? You should have CT scan of the abdomen with contrast because the blood is not necessarily coming from the bladder. It could be from the kidneys. I would think the urologist who cystoscoped you must have also checked your kidneys. It is a good idea to talk to your urologist.Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
