It is possible: Epiduo contains Adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adapalene is a third generation retinoid and as such can cause some mild lightening of the skin. Pumice stone: The pumice stone may or may not basically grind the hair off the surface of the skin but it would take a lot of friction which will primarily affect the skin surface and not the hair. All that rubbing can cause a pretty significant rash and erosions of the surface. That can result in infection and later when it heals in darkening or blotchiness of the skin.
