Black Skin Around Wound
What's the dark, tough skin around my acne scab? The red skin around the popped acne turned into a dark brown and the skin became tough to touch.
Blisters on heels ripped off, skin raw. Been using antibiotic ointment but "new" skin is yellow & has pus. Red around edges. Infected? Urgent care?
As long as it's open: & not anymore than an uncovered blister, it will heal. Keep it clean, wash (scrub) it 3-4 times a day. That will get the crud off the top, may not feel good but unroofing it is good. Then if available to you cover with Silvadine cream, if not an antibiotic ointment. Fingernail sized blister. Bug bite. Light red. Light itch. Underneath the blister skin looks like Mars surface (ex: Trypophobia pics). 2 weeks now.
