Probable node: Could be a lymph node or salivary gland tumor pushing the ear forward. If there is fever, tenderness pain and swelling behind the ear, hearing loss, ear drainage i would be concerned about infection in the mastoid bone which needs urgent assessment. Look for Changes...: Look for changes in behavior. Children hit their heads often; most do very well after an accident. Crying in this case is good unless it is prolonged.
