Black Dot In Upper Left Eye When I Blink
There's a black dot when i see fr. My left eye. My eye dr. Said it will go by itself. It's been years now& there are now more black dots in my vision.
Takes a while: I am guessing that your ophthalmologist (not an optometrist i hope) evaluated your eye including a dilated retinal examination. Since nothing therapeutic was recommended, you are probably having changes with age in your vitreous, which commonly includes the development of floaters in the vision. The fluids move very slowly and it can take years for some spots to disappear. ...Read more
Floater: If the black spot moves with blinks, then it's likely in the vitreous. If not new and only one without flashes or decreased vision, may not be anything serious. If it's a fixed black spot, then should be checked out for a potential retinal or brain problem. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My son is telling me that he has a blurry black spot in the corner of his left eye what should I do?
Could be a floater: If you visualize a spot moving around in the vision, it may be a "floater", which is a particle in the vitreous, or jelly-like material that fills most of the eye. The question is where the floater came from. It is important to get an eye exam promptly with a new onset of floaters, as it could be from a retinal tear, detachment, hemorrhage, etc. It could also be affecting the retina directly. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am seeing a tiny black spot from my left eye when focusing in bright light. Should I be worried?
Probably floater : Your description sounds like a vitreous floater. As long as your visual acuity is not altered, I would recommend scheduling a routine eye examination. However, if your vision has been affected or if you have associated flashes, obscuration of vision, distortion, pain, double vision, then seek immediate eye examination appointment. Generally floaters are a normal development with aging. ...Read more
When i'm wearing white clothes i saw small black spot in my visionbefore it was 3 in my left eye now both have it and have a plenty small black spot?
Floaters: It sounds as if you have had a posterior vitreous detachment. This is a situation where the vitreous(jelly) of the eye detaches (not a retinal detachment), it then "crumples" up leaving dots, spots, strands of blurry vitreous; i.e. The "floater". You should have an exam to ensure the incident did not tear the retina, which could lead to a retinal detachment. Wait one year then consider surgery. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
