Floater: If a floater yes, it could be stuck in the bursa pre macular is area. Many times will move away or you will get used to it. But it could be from something else more serious. So go see an ophthalmologist.

Needs evaluation.: Black spots and lines in your vision need evaluation by an opthalmologist as they may indicate problems with your retina and could lead to blindness. If these have been present for a while there is no urgency, but if these just showed up you should be seen as soon as reasonably possible.

Doc found a black spot behind my eye said it could be a freckle sending me for 2nd opinion. Seeing floaters n blurry vision eyepain is this normal?

No: The eye pain and floaters are probably not related to the 'freckle' and are not normal. A choridal nevus is a freckle in the choroid the layer under the retina covering the inside of the eye. Most are benign but need to be monitored. A retinal exam and a bscan ultrasound can give clues if it is a melanoma (malignant tumor). A second opinion is a good idea in this case.

Second opinion: A fixed black spot that does not move or clear can indicate a retinal or lens issue. You must be examined and evaluated by a board certified ophthalmologist-ASAP!

I was having light flashes on my left eye, now I see a floating black dot what is happening?

I was having light flashes on my left eye, now I see a floating black dot what is happening?

Flashes of light: Sometimes when the vitreous (gel in the back of the eye) detaches, it can cause flashes of light and floaters. However, so can a tear in the retina. I would definitely recommend a dilated exam immediately by an ophthalmologist.

I have a black dot in my eye. Is this serious?

I have a black dot in my eye. Is this serious?

Floaters: Floaters are thickenings in the vitreous jelly inside the eye. They are common with age, myopia, inflammation, trauma, and other issues. They are benign and do not damage your vision. Rarely, they can cause retinal tears which may require laser treatment. Otherwise, no treatment is needed. In very rare cases, the floaters can become dense enough to block vision and may need surgical removal.

Hav a small black dot on my left eye in the white part from morning....I can feel it slightly....What should I do...?

Can be normal: There are spots in the white part of the eye that look like a little black spot. This is where the blood vessels and nerves come from or out of the eye, called a loop of henley. Not to worry about this!

In my left eye I have a small black dot I have green eyes, should I worry?

In my left eye I have a small black dot I have green eyes, should I worry?

Reassurance: An exam will be best to assess what sounds like a pigment lesion on your Iris. Most of these are benign nevi or freckles, but if you are noticing this for the very first time, an exam is even moreover important. Good luck.
