Perhaps: Need to first have ear checked by md to rule out infection. That done a custom-made mouth guard, an occlusal orthotic, may protect the teeth and their surrounding tissues. Otc appliances can actually make problem worse. Talk to your dentist. ...Read more

TMJ ear pain: What you are describing is very suggestive of TMJ inflammation especially if you have malocclusion ( teeth don't fit properly). You can take Ibuprofen for the pain, avoid chewing gum, avoid straining the jaw by yawning. Quite Possible: I have not come across this, but it is possible. A spider bite typically causes a localized inflammatory response. The tempromandibular joint of your jaw comes into close proximity to your ear and thus could feel like jaw pain. If you already clench/grind your teeth, that area is already irritated and thus the spider bite could have made this discomfort more noticeable. ...Read more
