Won't help unless...: Hard to say- maybe never! Biotin deficiency can cause hair problems but if you are not deficient it may not help you. Many vitamins are needed for healthy hair, including b3, b5, b6, B12 ; a, c, d ; e. Zinc ; silica are also important, as are omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. None likely but...: None of those are "likely" to cause unwanted hair growth but this is a reported infrequent side effect of Paxil (paroxetine) and is also a reported side effect of Clonazepam. Biotin and Vit D should not cause this. ...Read more

Certainly no supplements will preferentially aid growth in only specific areas! There is some evidence that biotin does improve keratin infrastructure important in healthy hair/nails. What for?: Extra biotin will not do you any good. High doses of biotin can mess up some of the lab tests, so I would recommend that you stick with the pre-natal vitamins only. ...Read more
