Biliary Gastritis Treatment
I am having distal oesophagitis and biliary gastritis. Please suggest me which food should be taken to cure this?
An evolving answer: An evolving answer that includes identification /avoidance of known food allergens, use of budesonide, and possibly other agents. See: http://www. Ncbi. Nlm. Nih. Gov/pubmed? Db=pubmed&term=treatment eosinophilic gastroenteritis for over 300 references in the pediatric and adult patient treatment settings.
Depends on cause...: Common causes include: Aspirin or NSAID (ibuprofen, advil, aleve, (naproxen) etc.) use & h.Pylori infection. Caustic ingestion, excessive alcohol intake, tobacco use should all be avoided as precipitating factors. Minimizing nsaid's (unless prescribed) is recommended. Sometimes, stomach injury reflects systemic disease. Acid suppression rx, & eradicating h.Pylori if present, are hallmarks of treatment.
Endoscopy 1 month ago done biopsy show mild chronic nonspecific gastritis plz tell me thier causes, symptoms and treatment?
Symptoms. ..: The doctor who did the study should have discussed all of this with you. If that did not happen please let the chief doctor know.
Depends on cause: Can be due to long term infection with bacteria, h. Pylori which can cause ulcers, and cancer of stomach. Can be autoiimmune, also can increase risk for stomach cancer. Decreases acid prod. Either can cause vitamin B12 deficiency (can affect blood count and neurological function), iron def, risk of gut infection. If h pylori-rx with meds for about 2 wks. Both need B12 replacement lifelong.
It may be normal: It may be normal and with correct treatment will get better if the diagnosis is also right.
Diet and Medication: The typical treatment is a Reflux diet, which consists of low acid foods, avoiding all citrus, caffeinated foods, fried foods, carbonated drinks, etc. Also eating smaller meals with increased frequency. I also typically recommend medication for 3-4 months, which would be a Proton Pump Inhibitor (ie- Nexium, (esomeprazole) Prevacid, Protonix)
I've been diagnosed with Gastritis. Could someome tell me what's the cause and what would be the best treatment. Is it necessary to take anti biotic?
Number of causes: Number of causes e.g. Alcohol, spicy food, stress, Drugs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories), Bacterial Infection (H Pylori). Have you had Scope done? Yes you might have to take antibiotics to eradicate H Pylori if diagnosed. And your Dr might also put you on Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI).See 1 more doctor answer
Burping issues: Involuntary belching after a meal is normal, caused by release of swallowed gas after distension of the stomach with food. Magenblase syndrome is postprandial epigastric fullness & bloating, relieved by belching. Aerophagia (accumulation of gas due to air swallowing) is common with anxiety, hypersalivation from gum chewing, smoking, drinking, oral irritation. In some, belching can become habitual.
Is there a risk in continuing Omeprazole, 20 mg treatment for gastritis beyond the prescribed 8 weeks, since symptoms persist.?
For any drug to be: ...considered safe for long-term use, the risk of use must be outweighed by the benefits the drug offers. Is this your case? Of note, Prilosec is commonly prescribed for extended periods.
I have experienced chronic gastritis from 15 years ago, I have to take many medical treatment like ppi and h2blocker but I still have pain. What I do?
Right diagnosis?: I would make sure that you have the right diagnosis. If it is right, you could try double dose ppi or perhaps an alternative ppi.
It may duringRX: It may persists while being treated and will gradually get better with the correct treatment and when it is cured, there will be no pain or discomfort.
Possibly surgery: It depends on what actually caused the gastritis but very commonly it's from decreased stomach motility and a failing gastroesophageal flap valve that, besides causing reflux (gerd), decreases the strength of the stomach to push the acid out of the stomach. Stomach acid is so strong that if it sits in the stomach too long it even hurts the stomach lining. This can be fixed by fixing the valve.

Can caffeine bring back gastritis 1 month after treatment? (wasn't caused by h.Pylori, nor drugs)
Caffeine and gastrit: Most likely - go back on the medications you were prescribed because one month is too short of a period for healing to be complete!
