Could be.: Without seeing the results of all of your tests, it is impossible to tell whether autoimmune hepatitis is a reasonable diagnosis in your situation or not. It is possible to have a normal MRCP and still have autoimmune hepatitis. The only way to make a definitive diagnosis of AIH is with a liver biopsy. Problem: This is a big problem in my practice also. When i write an rx for pain medication and use those open end directions then patients tend think that they must take as directed on the bottle. The key word is adding 'as needed' on the prescription. I would look at the directions as a guideline to the maximal number you should take.
