Unlikely to be heart: If it hurts when you breath or you can move into a position that relieves or causes it to hurt worse or there is a specific spot that causes the pain it is very unlikely to be your heart. Could be your lung or chest wall or even your esophagus.

What could cause me to have upper arm pain in both arms mostly at night? Pain that keeps me awake. I'm in good shape and doubt due to activity.

Neck: To involve both arms, unless there really is problem in each arm separately, it is best to explain from the root that goes to both arms and that's the neck. Have your neck examined. When you lay down, the position of your spine changes and could be compressing the nerves that go to both arms. I wish you the best.

Varies: Multiple potential causes, I would not hesitate to be seen. A "pinched nerve" in the neck, otherwise known as a cervical radiculopathy, can cause similar symptoms as what you are describing although there are other possibilities as well. A simple physical exam could go a long way to determine the likely cause.

What is the question: LIkely unrelated. If you're concerned re: your mid brachial (arm) pain, please provide as much detail as possible. At your age it's likely nothing if it hasn't been bothering you for at least 4-6 weeks.

Myofascial pain?: Myofascial pain connotes pain related to movement and muscles but not with bony abnormality. (http://emedicine. Medscape. Com/article/313007-overview) Once you are sure your lungs and heart are OK, point treatment with an icecube (white knuckle pressure) and ROM (doing alphabets with finger on imaginary wall in front of you) may help, as may NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, or topicals like arnica.
