Had a bad ingrown nail on my big toe, got a pedi.. Now my big toe is swelling, painful, and i think I have pus coming out from were the skin. Pls help?

Paronychia: You need to see a podiatrist and have the ingrown nail removed. As long as the nail is impinging on the skin the infection will persist. Antibiotics alone will not work. You need a procedure called a partial nail avulsion. The procedure consists of removing the ingrown nail all the way to the matrix (where the nail is produced) and allowing the nail to grow back correctly. ...Read more

If you fell: Downstairs and have difficulty walking the foot likely should be xrayed. You also sound like at minimum should be walking in a surgical shoe that prevents the toe and metatatarsal joint from bending. Ice would do you well as well. Good luck. ...Read more

Ok i was playing in a soccer game about 3 years ago when i was playing i bruise my lelf big toe. But the swelling is still here i don't know why?

A lot toe consider.: The first step in determining what is going on with your toe is to have it evaluated by a specialist. Big toe injuries can involve not only soft tissue disruption but may also include damage to a toe bone. A toe x-ray may be necessary to separate the two. It would be interesting to note how the injury and subsequent swelling has affected the range of movement or muscle strength of the toe. ...Read more
