Can shoes cause lumps on feet? Have a painful and slightly bruised lump under my big toe but haven't hurt it.
You (s)choose: I look at it this way. The slightly bruised lump was caused by: 1. Pressure on your toe with absolutely no involvement with the shoe. 2. Pressure on your toe caused by the toe and the shoe. 3. Pressure on the toe caused only by the shoe, having nothing to do with the toe's activity. I'm betting on number 2. ...Read more

Itchy bump on side of big toe knuckle and on top of knuckle. Isn't painful, but very itchy and irritated when wear close-toed shoes.
Try simple first.: I am not clear as to which knuckle you are describing. It is either the joint in the big toe itself or the joint where the big toe meets the main body of the foot. If the bump becomes worse while wearing a certain shoe style, then change the shoes. This may be the easiest solution. Possibly there is an underlying fungal infection. Try using a topical anti fungal. Have it examined by a doctor. ...Read more
See a podiatrist: A "lump" is not something to play around with. Better safe than sorry. You may have an inflammed corn. This would be something benign and easily treatable. However, without being able to see it and because you used the word "lump"it warrants an inspection by a doctor. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

You need evaluation because we have therapy for this or if it is something else other appropriate therpay would be directed. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
