They are often itchy/tender and scratched at producing a small scab. They tend to come and go. There is no permanent cure, but i often treat flares with antibiotics. Growing?: Hard to say without examining you. Possibilities include fatty tumors(benign), cysts, abscesses? Calcified lesions? Cancer is very rare but not impossible.
