No: That doesn't sound very appetizing. Consider Tums or rolaids which are antacids, which are also likely easier on the stomach. Also Pepcid or zantac (ranitidine) which are h2 blockers and safe in pregnancy. Best of luck. ...Read more

Dysphagia is serious: I have several concerns about your question: 1) baking soda can hurt you when taken indefinitely; 2) difficulty swallowing in the context of chronic indigestion suggests a problem that can't be ignored; 3) many care options exist for patients without insurance--this is not a good reason today not to pursue appropriate care. GERD : Good for you for giving up diet sodas! It is possible to have worse reflux from iced tea, but it is usually from the caffeine in the tea. If you're drinking caffeine free tea, it usually does not make GERD worse. As for the DexIlant, (dexlansoprazole) is best to take it 20 to 30 minutes before a meal.
