Will 12.5mg cozaar interact with 20mg cymbalta (duloxetine) and 40 mg betapace? Scared to start cymbalta (duloxetine) due to it maybe dropping bp. I have high normal bp.

I am on betapace (sotalol) for a - tachycardia. Not very good at keeping BP controlled or spike in BP from anxiety. Switch b-blocker? I also take cozaar

Work on anxiety: Betapace=sotalol is used for arrythmias insead of BP. I suggest Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with with mindfulness training for the anxiety. There are beta blockers that are more effective for BP and can help with atrial tachycardia, but ultimately you should have this discussion with your cardiologist. Cozaar (losartan) max dose is 100mg daily, so this could be adjusted if you are on lower dose. ...Read more

Are betapace (sotalol) and Zoloft safe together? Always had normal qt interval. Betapace (sotalol) is 40 mg twice daily. Zoloft 100mg. I heard some ssri increase qt

Speak to your doctor: Hello,
The combination of Betapace (sotalol) and Zoloft can prolong Qt interval which increases the risk of cardiac arrhythmia. The risk of an individual or combination of drugs is not predictable and depends on factors such as heart disease, electrolytes and drug dosage.

Consult your doctor about these medications. Do not stop or change your medications without speaking to your doctor. ...Read more

BP control: Be aware that it is not unusual to be on 2-3 different blood pressure medicines to achieve a good BP control. 75% of North Americans with hypertension take 3 BP meds max dose! And low salt diet is crucial for BP control, so if you are following a low salt diet and still your BP is high, consult your physician to add a second agent (diuretics maybe?). ...Read more

CBT psychotherapy: Try CBT. The C will help your thinking and understanding - the B means guided Behavioral practice and it is critical. The T means therapy. After a course of treatment, your therapist might think that you've advanced enough to try it on your own and just return for boosters if needed. These are real skills to acquire. Try it for real. It may lower your need for meds. ...Read more

Best SSRI 4 anxiety?: I'm sorry you've been struggling to find the right med to treat ur panic d/o. SSRIs are 'first line' (1st choice) for anxiety disorders, including panic d/o. There truly is no one best SSRI, tho. Keep working with your doc, who can help select the next best choice for you, based on your hx & history of responses thus far. Don't give up on the therapy. Is 200mg of COq 10 safe and effective for lowering blood pressure? Current meds are Zoloft losartan betapace and nexium (esomeprazole). Any interactions?

There are two forms: Of CoQ10. Neither has been regulated by the FDA. (One form appears to have more antioxidant properties). Several conditions have been associated with low CoQ10 levels including HTN, heart failure, certain cancers, gingivitis, gastric ulcers, etc. Currently there has not been a consensus arrived at as to the BP lowering effects (due to lack of controlled studies). May affect Zoloft (sertraline) level a bit. ...Read more

Intake 40mg betapace twice daily. All antidepressants cause side effects for me. I have severe anxiety. Dr. Wants to try lexapro (escitalopram). Interactions?
