Been dizzy for 6 months. Tried betahistine dihydrochloride and cinnarizine. Hasn't helped. Last day experiencing pain when touching tragus?
Dizzy: Dizzy is a non specific complaint and needs to be sorted out by your doctor. It sounds like you have been treating inner ear disease and should be better. Touching your tragus and experiencing pain is more typical of external ear disease. It is time to get a diagnosis and get properly treated. All the best. ...Read more

Steroids: Some meniere's patients benefit from oral steroids and sometimes steroids injected behind the ear drum (transtympanic injection). Hi. I had a check up with my doctor and she said i had vertigo and gave me betahistine although its been weeks and i still feel nausea and dizziness.
May need drug change: Most causes for these symptoms such as benign positional vertigo, labyrinthitis, or a bout of meniere's may take a few weeks or even longer to resolve. If you have not noticed any improvement with the current dose of betahistine, go back to your doctor. She may either increase the dose or try another medication such as Meclizine or cinnarizine. ...Read more

You will not die: Vertigo is extremely unpleasant, right up there with panic disorder. In fact, they overlap in symptoms to some degree and some people get non-fearful panic attacks with vertigo as the predominant symptom. Do you have any medication for break- through panic? If not, download one of the free binaural beats apps on healthtap and pick the most soothing setting you can find. Best wishes. ...Read more
