Unless a specialist has instructed that you use betadine, I would avoid it as it can interfere with growth of new healthy cells as well as killing bacteria. For preop disinfect: It's the standard practice to use betadine soap/solution to scrub and paint to disinfect surgical site right before surgery so to minimize possible infection of wound/incision if not allergic to iodine. It does not numb the glans. Not likely: Those are curious treatments for vaginal infection, but the only medicine there I would be worried about is floxacin. The fetus was likely exposed to very little, just don't use them any longer. ...Read more
