Betaderm Side Effects
Hey I recently used betaderm USP on my face fo 20 to 25 days. I am not using it now. W.ill there still be some side effects from nthe last use.
Betamethasone: Betaderm is a brand of betamethasone sold in UK. Depending upon formulation (acetate vs dipropionate vs valerate), it's potency ranges from medium-low to high potency. We typically don't recommend high potency for use on face unless monitored closely by Dermatologist given risk for side effects (hopefully none if only 3wks use). Check out http://www. Drugs. How long should betaderm scalp lotion be used for? I only apply it once a day to the entire scalp. Is two weeks sufficient? I'm scared of side effects.
Yes: Once the scalp is clear, you no longer need to use it. I'd only be concerned if this needs be used daily for more than 6 months. It is important to find out what is causing your scalp problem if you need betaderm to control the lesions regularly. Suggest that you consult a dermatologist.
Yes: You can, but don't exceed recommended dosage for either, especially betaderm, should be under doctor's supervision
Please clarify: What test are you asking about? What urine test?
I DOUBT IT: It can only be effective if your hair loss were due to a severe follicitis! Otherwise the betaderm would be more likely to IRRITATE your scalp! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
Stop picking: It sounds like you won't leave it alone. See your doctor and stop putting all that stuff on your scalp. You may do more harm than good.
I'm using betaderm scalp lotion for 6 days now on my entire scalp. Now I notice a localized region on the scalp keeps blistering without physical diff?
Scalp reaction: Betaderm is a corticosteroid scalp treatment - it may be the underlying condition you are being treated for that is causing the blistering. Best to get evaluated and discuss this with your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

Got itching white patch (small) just below my testicles. Any medication for it. I've used betaderm ointment. Is it a good practice or I should avoid.
Antifungal: This is a warm moist area that increases the risk for minor skin fungal overgrowth, that becomes itchy and is often associated with white patches. Try hairdryer to area after shower, then apply antifungal powder or lotion. Nystatin, lotrimine are antifungals, available at most pharmacies over the counter. Be well.
I was just curious...I noticed isopropyl alcohol is one of the added ingredients in betaderm scalp lotion. What is the isopropyl alcohol added for?
Relax: It is a common solvent. It will not hurt you. Do not drink it.

Fungal rash?: Do you remember working in the garden when the rash started? There is a fungal infection called sporotrichosis that causes a linear, painless nodules in a linear fashion. If you've been scratched by an animal that had the fungus on its claws, you can get this infection as well. The best thing would be to see your physician and possibly have it cultured.

Pityriasis?: There are several inflammatory rashes that appear frequently in children and a proper diagnosis is helpful in not only giving the right treatment but avoiding unnecessary treatment. In the derm word, a picture is indeed better than a thousand word. The rash could be eczema, requiring steroid cream. For the other common rash, see link.See 1 more doctor answer
Prescribed betaderm/clotrimaderm cream for yeast infection. My foreskin is getting dry. Is this cuz I'm applying too much? Doc told me only thin film.
No steroids: The betaderm part of the cream you're using contains a steroid, which can cause problems when applied to delicate tissues like the foreskin. In addition, steroids can stimulate the growth of yeast. It would be better to use a pure antifungal cream (e.g. Clotrimaderm) without the steroid component.
