My last periods was on 4th july. I had unprotected sex on 7th august. I did beta hcg test yesterday and I was 83.9mcl. Is it normal.?

Normal pregnancy: The information you provided showed positive pregnancy. If this pregnancy is based on your lmp, the hcg should be much higher than what you have now.
Therefore you need to follow the hcg every two days to confirm doubling or decline. If your hcg rises to about 2000,
you can get a transvaginal ultrasound. Decline of the hcg level indicate failed pregancy. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

Yes it is negative: The pregnancy test should be positive 2-3 weeks after conception. If you have had sex in the last two weeks then the test would not show yet. You should see your doctor about birth control. ...Read more

When should I take blood quantitative beta HCG test after intercourse/sex? Is it accurate enough if I do that 2 weeks after intercourse/sex?

When should I take blood quantitative beta HCG test after intercourse/sex? Is it accurate enough if I do that 2 weeks after intercourse/sex?

It depends...: A blood test is fairly accurate about 7-10 days after intercourse. Qualitative (not quantitative) blood tests are usually used to detect pregnancy. Home urine pregnancy tests are about 99% accurate if it has been one week since a period was missed. They may detect a pregnancy earlier than that but are less reliable to rule out pregnancy. ...Read more

Is bleeding when pregnant (pregnant with pariod) -the reason why beta hCG test don't pick up on 9 weeks (last sex aug.9 beta hcgg test on oct.6)?

Is bleeding when pregnant (pregnant with pariod) -the reason why beta hCG test don't pick up on 9 weeks (last sex aug.9 beta hcgg test on oct.6)?

No.: If your HCG is negative and you are experiencing vaginal bleeding, then you are not pregnant; that is exactly how a miscarriage presents in the first few weeks after conception and many of them go unrecognized because women do not take pregnancy tests immediately after a late period. I am sorry for the bad news. Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily and keep trying! ...Read more

Had unprotected sex on 21 Feb, got last period on 5 Feb. Pregnancy test kits as tested on 18 March negative. Blood test beta HCG <1.20mIU. Pregnant?

No: Based on the information you provided, you are not pregnant. It would be prudent to repeat the home pregnancy test in a week, unless you get a period by then.
Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about 2-3 weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex.
Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

What is the best time to take a Quantitative Serum Beta HCG test?

What is the best time to take a Quantitative Serum Beta HCG test?

3 wks after sex: There is no need to rush. A pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 wks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If a woman gets her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test isn't needed. ...Read more

I got negative in beta hCG test. Is there a possibluty I get pregnant soon?

A neg test has: Nothing to do with whether u can get pregnant or not, if you have been trying for 12 months then u need to see your OB for a work-up, or at your age I would start to do a workup if you had been trying 6 months, as easy thing to do is get an ovulation kit to make sure you are ovulating. ...Read more
