My beta HCG numbers are:
Are numbers rising appropriately? Could it be twins?
Impossible to say!: It may, or may not be a twin gestation. You have to wait at least 6 wks from your last period, than have a TVS done, this will give you an answer! ...Read more
Ivf beta hCG numbers 1st 12 days post 5 day transfer 1st went 61, 48hours later went 95, 48hours later went back 73, 48 later went up 108 isit normal?
Unfortunately not: Your HCG levels do not sound like they can be consistent with a healthy pregnancy, particularly an ivf pregnancy when we know exactly how far along you are. Most likely this is a biochemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage) or there is a small chance of ectopic pregnancy. You'll want your doctor to monitor you closely until the situation is more clear. Sorry, and good luck going forward! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Ivf beta hCG numbers 1st 9 days post 5 day transfer 67, 4 days later 78, 2 days later 80 and 2 days later 165. Definite chemical pregnancy or ectopic?
Can't say yet: We can't diagnose your pregnancy over the internet. 67 is an ok first beta, but it should rise by at least 50% every 48 hours. There is a slim chance that this could be a normal pregnancy, but more likely a biochemical pregnancy (hcg levels go up then down, never get high enough to see pregnancy on ultrasound), a miscarriage, or an ectopic. If severe pain/bleeding go to er. Your md will follow you. ...Read more

Hormone: It depends on how you are checking the HCG level. If you are having blood drawn the time of the day does not matter. However, if you are checking a urine test, then the HCG level is usually checked with the first voided specimen of the day. Reason is that in early pregnancy, HCG levels are normally low and if the urine is dilute (as often happens later in day) then you will have false negative. ...Read more
Did my 1st beta hCG 186 31/10 then my second 6/11 now at 3895 . What does this big increase mean ?
Probably normal: The rule of thumb is that HCG levels will double every 2 to 3 days. More rapid increases are not unusual in a normal healthy pregnancy so I do not consider this a negative. The chance of a twin pregnancy is slightly increased, and it is always useful to get a transvaginal sonogram (ultrasound) early in the pregnancy to confirm dates and viability. ...Read more
