Let shower do it..: There are some people who are jsut heavy wax producers. There are commercially available wax softeners, but if your wax is not hard, those won't make much difference. If the problem is just too much wax, let your shower do the cleaning for you by letting the water pulse into your ear canal each time you shower and wash it out. Likely a scratch: The walls of the ear canal are thin, and bleed easily with trauma. You likely scratched the wall on the side. We encourage parents to avoid putting Q tips in the ear for this and other reasons. The wax is made in the outer half of the canal and will fall out over time.
