Complicated Q, but..: There r many types of migraine, and many rx's. If you've never had work-up for cause, c ur gp or a neurologist for evaluation. Ur description, blood tests, an MRI may be important. For now, try drinking a lot of water/fruit juice, rest in dark room, take two advil or alleve with a bit of food, avoid cheeses & wines, drink 2 cups of caffeinated coffee, and do some deep relaxation breathing.
