Is b complex vitamin good for cancer patient? And does surbex xt medicine contain b complex vitamin?

Is b complex vitamin good for cancer patient? And does surbex xt medicine contain b complex vitamin?

Unknown &controversy: There is not enough science to answer this definitively. I think yes. One of the best studies was done by abam hoffer md who showed dramatic increases in survival in cancer patients who took high doses of b complex, beta carotene, e, c, selenium & zinc. See http://cancertherapies. Org/bkinfo. Htm no one has studied b vits alone. Surbex xt has four b vitamins but not the full b complex.

Please explain what foods or vitamins help a recovering cancer of vocal cord patient?

No specific foods: There is no specific food that one needs to eat as long as you have a balanced diet including protein. You can take vitamin supplements as well if you are not getting them in your diet.

How can we increase the platelets count (no blood transfusion) in a cancer patient? Are there any natural solutions (food, vitamin complex etc)? Thx

Intravenous water: Soluble vitamins can do it. Linus pauling worked with a scottish physician and found that large doses of vitamin c helped cancer patients. I/v vit c gets higher concentrations. Trouble is that vitamin therapy has not yet become an accepted approach.

Thyroid cancer patient, my thy numbers 2 years after total thyroidectomy: tsh= 0.32, tg ab= 23, tg=0.2, pth= 68, vitamin d= 12. Number meanings?

Thyroid cancer patient, my thy numbers 2 years after total thyroidectomy: tsh= 0.32, tg ab= 23, tg=0.2, pth= 68, vitamin d= 12. Number meanings?

See a Specialist: Tg ab and tg are a marker for remaining thyroid tissue (and presumably thyroid cancer), TSH is the hormone that stimulates thyroid tissue to grow and produce thyroid hormone, PTH is the hormone that controls your calcium metabolism. You should discuss your lab interpretations with a specialist, especially given your history of thyroid cancer.

Can vitiamn b17 prevent and cure cancer? I heard that eating certain fruit seeds will prevent cancer? Is this used for cancer patients?

Can vitiamn b17 prevent and cure cancer? I heard that eating certain fruit seeds will prevent cancer? Is this used for cancer patients?

No such viitamin: There is no medically recognized vitamin b17. An extract from aprocot pits, laetrile, has been touted as b17 and promoted as cure for cancer with no scientific basis. So called vitamin b17 can cause cyanide poisoning!

What's the best vitamins for a new nurse having her duty on nightshift with so many patients to attend to?

What's the best vitamins for a new nurse having her duty on nightshift with so many patients to attend to?

Plan meals ahead: Many of us finished our grueling medical training by our early 30s. Those of us in OB and other fields kept up the 24/7 work. That is a rough life, and few retire healthy, it is said. Equally tough is working irregular hours or night shifts. It is important to have a schedule of exercise and healthy eating during the days off and while on duty. No supplement will suffice. A balanced diet is key.

What is the best time for sun-exposure in patient with vitamin D deficiency?

What is the best time for sun-exposure in patient with vitamin D deficiency?

Supplements are best: Though sun exposure will potentially help the body create vitamin D, the newest research suggests that sunlight is inadequate for vitamin D synthesis in most regions of the world and for people of darker complexions this is an even greater problem. With modern vitamin D supplements, there really is no reason to rely on sunlight alone to get vitamin D levels up. Skin cancer risk is another reason.

What is the best time for sun-exposure in patient with vitamin D deficiency? In iraq and Eastern populations?

What is the best time for sun-exposure in patient with vitamin D deficiency? In iraq and Eastern populations?

Mid-day: The sun has to be fairly high in the sky, at least 50 degrees above the horizon, for UVB rays that are needed to produce Vit D to reach the ground, so mid-day is the best time. For a detailed discussion see http://tinyurl. Com/7kv5pgm From about 10/10 to early March the sun is never that high so the only way to get adequate D is to supplement- I advise 5000 iu/day. Vitamin b17 any good for fighting cancer?

Vit B17 = cyanide: Vit b17 is a "friendly" name of cyanide- it is poison. No documented scientific evidence exists supporting the use of cyanide (b17) to treat cancer patients.

Which vitamins are good to keep cancer at bay?

Which vitamins are good to keep cancer at bay?

All of them: There is accumulating evidence that cancer and nutrition do indeed have a relationship. Although all of them are nutritional necessities, thiamin deficiency has emerged recently in association with cancer. My personal opinion, not by any means proven, is that the incredible ingestion of sugar in all its different forms has a relationship with the need for thiamin and may relate to several diseases

What would you say are minerals and vitamins that prevent cancers?

What would you say are minerals and vitamins that prevent cancers?

Just eat wisely: You are wise to eat a sensible diet and get your vitamins and minerals in this way; if you wish, some people (especially vegetarians) probably benefit from an inexpensive vitamin-and-mineral supplement. It is extremely difficult to do studies of real people and the impact of diet as there are so many variables; sometimes high intake of some "good things" seems to increase some cancer risks.

How come the fda has not approved drugs like mms, vitamin b17 or dca for cancer?

Wishful thinking: Jg, all of us -- myself included -- want to believe disinformation campaigns offering false hope. Yes, real medicine has problems. But think -- no conspiracy could be this vast. Real science is the most cutthroat of all human activities. If mms (industrial-strength bleach to drink), "vitamin b17" (usually amygdalin) or dichloroacetate worked, a real scientist would prove it & win the nobel prize.

Vitamin b17 deficiency leads to cancer?

Vitamin b17 deficiency leads to cancer?

This is a scam: There is no such thing as vitamin b17. "laetrile" was the most lucrative of all the cancer frauds, went to the us supreme court, and made over 100 new millionaires off desperate people. It's still being peddled among "social conservatives." you need to shun anybody who has told you that this vitamin exists / prevents/ treats cancer; they are sophisticated criminals.

Does vitamin b17 affect cancer?

Does vitamin b17 affect cancer?

No: Vitamin b17 is not a vitamin, but an utterly cynical scam from the 1970's with rich right-wingers ripping off poor right-wingers. You are being targeted for a sucker. Examine the court transcripts in the laetrile rutherford case and decide if you want these people do do your thinking. It's still sold as "apricots from god", but failed every basic test.

Does vitamin d18 stop cancer cells?

Does vitamin d18 stop cancer cells?

No known, unlikely.: It is not known to do so. If you mean vitamin d. Exposing yourself to too much sun to get the vitamin can be bad and this is worth reviewing: http://cjbmd. Com/docs/ps_vitamind. Pdf now, d18 is not something we see in med school as the way to call vitamin d. If you mean another product of some sort, it is unclear and I cannot answer that.
