Best Time To Take Fish Oil Omega 3
Doc wants me to take three 300mg of krill oil daily after my omega 3 test came back. I had been taking 1 krill plus a fish oil daily. Is this unusual?
EPA ; DHA: Fish oil and krill oil have 2 major components: epa and dha. Generally people need at least 1-2 grams of epa, and at least 500 mg dha daily. The preparations you were using may not have delivered this much of each component in the capsules you were taking, so you needed more. Please know that if you eat wild alaskan salmon, sardines, etc at least twice each week, you may not need supplements. ...Read more

Is it safe to take a multivitamin, probiotic, fish oil omega-3 supplement, apple cider vinegar, and psyllium husk for fiber together daily?

Krill oil and fish oil are the new snake oil, both are high in omega 3 fatty acids which are extremely fragile. Omega 3 fish oils reduce triglycerides by impairing the liver's ablility to make them. However the oxidative stress caused by fish oil actually raises LDL cholesterol.
Some day we may use the phrase "this is just more fish /krill oil" or "here comes the fish/krill oil salesman". ...Read more
Eat wild salmon: It is far healthier to consume omega-3s from a natural source such as wild salmon than from fish oil or synthetic forms. The question is why are you taking this supplement in the first place? To reduce cholesterol? Anti-inflammatory? Anti-coagulant? Brain health?
