Best Thing For Stomach Ulcers
Cabbage and aloe: Cabbage and cabbage juice has been found to have remarkable effects in helping ulcers to heal. A nice discussion of this can be found at http://www. Naturalnews. Com/027454_cabbage_ulcers. Html aloe vera juice is also very helpful. In general fresh fruits & vegetables (other than citrus) tend to be helpful- esp. Apples, kale, kelp & green tea. See http://www. Ulcer-cure. Com/treatments/ulcer-diet.Php.
No food restrictions: If you have a stomach ulcer its important to know if you have an infection with h. Pylori. This can be determined with a breath test, stool test or endoscopy with biopsy. If positive for infection treatment is advised. A potent acid inhibitor e.g. Prilosec or one of its brethren is necessary to help heal the ulcer. Also, if the ulcer was drug induced then stop taking the offending drug.
Ulcer diet: Hello ~ in the 50s and 60s before the advent of tagamet (cimetidine) we used to push the " MILK DIET", and this was milk thought then to neutralise the HCl in the stomach. Well of course milk is too little but we now use very fancy drugs to reduce acid. But there are still "ulcer diets" you can get by Google. BUT anything bland, not spicy, no alcohol, shd do it!
Seldom a diet issue: A stomach ulcer is literally a hole in the stomach lining. H.Pylori bacteria & use of nsaid's are independent but common risk factors, as are age, tobacco use, & prior history of ulceration. Admission to the ICU can result in stress-related ulceration within the first few days of hospitalization. Also, significant burns (curling's ulcer), head trauma (cushing's ulcer), sheering forces, cancer.
I've had bleeding stomach ulcers in the past and recently feel pain/flare ups. I am under quite a bit of stress. What's the best way to heal naturally?
SEE YOUR DOC ASAP: Don't mess around with possibly bleeding ulcers. You already have had complicated ulcers (bleeding), and symptoms again. U need to see a doc. Can be due to bacterial infection with h. Pylori (ever tested/treated?), meds (especially Aspirin and nsaids like ibuprofen), other causes including rare tumors causing excess acid, other. Get checked first.
Acid reducing meds: Also known as proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole etc. Are recommended for the treatment of ulcers. Otc antacids may help with short term symptom relief but will not heal ulcers. If h. Pylori bacterium is present you will need antibiotics as well. Avoid any nsaids, or Aspirin and make sure you eat light avoiding heavy, spicy and acidic foods, including citrus, sodas, caffeine, alcohol & smoking.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends on H.pylori: If helicobacter pylori has been documented in association with your ulcer, then treatment of it is requisite. Not treating this bacteria places you at risk for ulcer non-healing, ulcer recurrence, & even stomach cancer. There are a number of antibiotic combinations that work quite effectively in eradicating the infection. After completion of antibiotics, check stool to document clearance of the bug.
Acid blockers: Also known as proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole etc.
Sir I have stomach ulcer since 5years what is the best treatment of this. I have pain in stomach 24hour?
See below: Stomach ulcers, like any other tissue injury, will heal on its own. Ulcers don't last 5 years. Ulcers should heal withing 2 months and if not have a high risk for being cancerous. Most who are told they have ulcers, (without an endoscopy to prove it) don't have ulcers. If you have persistent pain for 5 years you need to see your doctor and have an endoscopic evaluation.See 2 more doctor answers
None: None have benefit and most will increase the problem.
Stomach ulcer: The best treatment for stomach ulcer with h. Pylori is triple med. One antibiotic from amoxicillin, tetracycline, Clarithromycin or metronidazole;one from ranitidine bismuth sub salicylate or bismuth subsalicylate; one ppi. Protonix, Nexium (esomeprazole) or Prilosec for10days to 2 weeks. Ulcer without h.Pylori like from nsaids & alcohol needs one ppi for 8 weeks. Prilosec is good. Avoid alcohol. Thanks.

No: There is no data to support use of cabbage juice to treat a stomach ulcer.
Depends: If you know the cause of the ulcer, you may be able to cure it naturally. Ulcers commonly heal by stopping drugs like Motrin or Aspirin which created the problem. Same for alcohol or nicotine, which you can choose to avoid. Healing from stress ulcer or a heart attack may be more difficult without guidance from your physician. There are safe medications to speed the process, choose carefully.
What's the best alternative to Dexlansoprazole to treat a stomach antrum gastritis + duodenum tiny ulcer? Dexlansoprazole is too expensive here.
My best friend was diagnosed with stage 1 stomach cancer. The dr. Said it formed from stomach ulcers she had about 6 months before. Is this possible?
It's kind of vague!: That explanation leaves a lot to be desired. An ulceration can just be a description, and is not etiologically specific.
Stomach problems esspecially in the gullet area it knocks the wind into my back its always after food. I've had a camra but nothing was found. Could it be an ulcer. When the pains bad its awful I cry myself to sleep rocking trying my best to shut my eyes
Possible gallbladder: Having pain in upper abdoen that radiates to the back or shoulders and occurrs after meals will most likely end up being gallbladder disease. This can be diagnosed with an ultrasound and if that is negative a hida scan. When you say you have had a camera I presume you had an endoscopy. That would have seen an ulcer if you have one. Ask your doctor for a gallbladder work up.See 1 more doctor answer
What is the cause of h.Plyori bacteria and the best treatment effective for healing h.Pylori stomach ulcer?
Mother nature: H. Pylori is a bacteria that colonizes the stomach lining. It is acquired by casual contact via airborne salive droplets and perhaps contaminated foof. The best treatment is antibiotics. Specific regimes exist for erradication.
What is the best medication to treat gastric ulcer. My stomach produces much Gas and upper part of it got swollen up. Being using omeprazole?
Maybe not just ulcer: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks). Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, &/or pathology outside the gut.
