Avoid them.: Raw eggs can carry bacteria, like salmonella, and cooking them is recommended. I have not tasted them, so don't know what they taste like, and I have never been tempted to try them! See http://www. Cdc. Gov/nczved/divisions/dfbmd/diseases/salmonella_enteritidis/See 1 more doctor answer

Taste buds: Dry mouth is a leading cause of irrated tongue. A review of medications you are taken along with a full blood panel would be recommended to rule out systemic issues that could also manifest with these symptoms. So much sushi from a menu comes with uncooked fish. The taste may be interesting but is eating raw tuna, etc., always healthy?
Depends: There are certain fish which are more risky depending on your gender and age because of mercury; others because they are poisonous unless properly handled (fugu, or pufferfish). In general, eating raw food is riskier than properly cooked. That being said, if the sushi is properly prepared, your risk of illness is generally low.
My sense of taste and smell are at about 10% I do not have a cold. What could it be. I ate half a raw beet today and no taste. I hate beets?
Complex problem: You really need to see an otolaryngologist for a full history and exam. This can be due to many things such as a mild viral infection (even if you don't feel you had a cold), a sinus infection, allergies, nasal polyps, nasal anatomy problems (deviated septum/ turbinate congestion), head trauma, nasal/sinus tumor, tongue & taste bud problems, and the list goes on....

The: 1/2 liter peg preps are pretty well tolerated especially movi prep which is the one I use. You need to discuus the prep with your doctor immediately so they know you have issues with the prep and may need an alternative or to reschedule your procedure.
There are very few vegetables I can eat such as sting beans, peas, and corn. Otherwise, everything else will taste disgustingly foul. What can I do?
Vegetables: Beans, peas and corn are just fine. They are rich in fibers, and have some of the vitamins that your body needs
Wouldn't switch: I wouldn't switch from breast milk because of gassy baby. Typically babies are gassy because they swallow a lot of air. This should improve when the baby is more efficient at eating. Typically this is by 6 months of age.See 1 more doctor answer

Any other symptoms? Any pain or discomfort? There are many possibilities, one of them is called geographic tongue which is benign and does not require treatment. Consider a consult with a pedodontist or oral surgeon.See 1 more doctor answer
I've been on dexilant (dexlansoprazole) for about 6 months and want to try to get off of it as it leaves a constant bitter taste in my mouth. What is the best course?
Go ahead and stop: You can stop any time; no need to taper it or anything like that. Discuss treatment with your doctor; ie do you need to be on a similar medication for continued treatment or not. If your symptoms are better you may no longer need anything.

What is the best tooth paste and mouth wash I can use I am currently using dollar store tooth paste and mouth wash and they taste weird and seem to not be doing anything for my teeth what is the best brand out there that will actually work on my teeth
Look for seal: Look for american dental assn seal of approval on toothpaste that assures quality and validity of claims made. Same for mouth wash, most are ineffective. Avoid dollar store products...You get what you pay for. And for an adult, floss and/or water pik more important than toothpaste. Make sure to brush 2 full minutes 2x/day & floss 1x/day.See 6 more doctor answers
What is the best thing I can do if I think I have gum disease? I am a 25 year old woman who has had a recent onset of gum disease symptoms. For the past 2 weeks my gums have been bleeding every time I brush, horrible taste in my mouth, and after closer in
If: If you think you have gum disease the best thing you can do is see a dentist for an exam and cleaning. If you have not had your teeth cleaned in a while there is nothing over the counter or magic rinse that will solve the problem. You lack of dental insurance makes it even more important to see a dentist. The last thing you need is thousands of dollars of treatment because you let a small problem fester and become a large one. Most people spend some of their discretionary dollars on things they value (cigarettes, iphone, ipad etc, drinks with friends, concert tickets, cable tv etc.) don't let your lack of insurance lead you to neglecting your teeth. If you value them spend some money on them and protect them. Prevention is a great investment. The video in the link below shoes how gum disease progresses. long island periodontist best of luck.See 7 more doctor answers

Everything smells like mothballs n I have a horrid metallic taste that won't go red raw throat. Is this connected to tonsillitis?
Bad taste: You may have a sinus infection that should be evaluated. An infection with post nasal drip would amuse the taste. If you are on any medications you should check to see if this is a known side effect. Recommend that you see an ENT for evaluation.
