Hi, I have rosacea and I get irritations on my facial skin sometimes. I am participating in outdoor games. Pls suggest me good sunscreen lotion to wear?
I tried laser therapy, finacea & mirvaso to control my rosacea but I failed. So how can I control my rosacea with diet? I always put a sunscreen too.
I was wondering what is the best medication for anxiety. I also have rosacea should I go back on a conceptive pill. Regards maeve brophy?
Anxiety: There is no one "best" medication for anxiety. I see that you've listed Lexapro (escitalopram) in your medications, and this can be helpful for some people's anxiety but not everyone's. If your current medication is not providing the desired relief, please work with your physician to find something that helps. Also, most find that psychotherapy is an essential component of anxiety treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
16 YO boy with Rosacea. Wht can I do to cure this as much as possible or completely. I Need to fix it! Also wht natural/home remedies work best?
Here's the truth: I'm going to assume you're a parent. You can't cure rosacea but you can manage it. It should be possible to make it nearly invisible. If you pursue "natural / home" remedies because you read something on a doctor-bashing website, Junior will be disfigured during his teenaged years and can be permanently mutilated by his disease. Please comply with 21st century medicine -- it works for rosacea.
Rosacea treatment: There are topical creams that are effective. The next step would be light based technology. If this is not effective, a combination of light/topical agents (PDT) may be helpful. Best to see a dermatologist / plastic surgeon in your area that can advise you.
Healthtap Doctors: Are asked not to endorse specific brands or product lines.
This is serious: Please don't neglect evidence-based medicine in the treatment of rosacea. If you can find an evidence-based "holistic" practitioner in your community, he/she may be able to offer advice. But if "natural medicine" actually worked, rosacea patients in the old days wouldn't have ended up with their faces mutilated. This doesn't have to be you with today's 21st century treatments.See 1 more doctor answer
Metronidazole: There is no real difference between any of the Metronidazole topical products. In my practice, I prescribe the generic form of mitronidazole cream almost exclusively.
Skin care routine: You need a good skin care routine to diminish sebaceous gland activity and acne disease as well as exfoliate. Too much benzoyl peroxide is not good either and may dry out the skin. Use a mild facial wash such as cetaphil followed by a non-comedogenic moisturizer such as eucerin daily facial with spf as well as a possible topical retinoid and periodic exfoliation. See md rx accutane/antibiotics.
