Best Multivitamin Syrup For Babies In India
Does a 30 year old type 2 DM women in India requires daily multivitamin. If so the amount of each and every element in it?
General multivit: Since diabetes can cause a decrease in immune function, a daily multivitamin is possibly helpful, and not at all harmful unless the preparation contains too much sugar. A vitamin preparation made from whole foods (raw), and containing probiotics in the same concentrations as recommended for the general population would be adequate. ...Read more

Should I be giving my 4 mo old infant multivitamin drops or is formula and purees meeting her vitamin requirements?
Infant vitamins.: Only small amounts of vitamin d are transferred in breast milk. That's why the american academy of pediatrics (aap) now recommends that you give your breastfed baby a supplement of 400 iu per day of vitamin d, starting in the first few days of life. Babies who are fully or partially formula fed but drink less than 32 ounces of formula a day also need a daily 400 iu vitamin d supplement ...Read more
Good afternoon Doc! I have a question, is it ok to take multivitamine buclizine syrup after deworming a child?
Which is better for children to boost their immunity after illness 7seas tablets or minadex multivitamin syrup?
Good health: The only vitamin which seems to help the immune system is vitamin d3 although Folic Acid has also been touted to boost immune function. Staying in good health and pursing a regular exercise program will likely help the immune system. There is no proof that multivitamins really helps the immune system. ...Read more
Is marnys junior multivitamin royal jelly syrup ok for children 3-4 years age group as a supplement?
My 18 mo old was put on iron syrup for being mildly low on iron. She spits it out. Can I do a kids multivitamin with iron?
Unlikely to help: There is so little iron in regular multivitamins with iron that it may not help the kid who needs it most. Work with your doc on ways to get this into the kid. I find that folding it into a tablespoon of peanut butter covers the taste and smell in most cases. Others use a variety of cover products like chocolate syrup. Use would depend on your kids sensitivities/allergies/etc. ...Read more
No: Actually the only question is whether there is enough vitamin d in everyone's breast milk. To be safe, it is recommended that breast fed babies be given a vitamin d supplement which can be given alone or as part of a multivitamin. The other vitamins in the multivitamins are not currently seen to be necessary. ...Read more

Babys multivitamin requirs to b stored in fridge after opening. I didn't c this&stored the bottle at room temperature &she had the full bottle. Is it ok?
Recently opened?: Baby vitamin drops are not refrigerated at the store, but are at room temperature on the store shelves. A bottle gets used up in 1-2 months, so a full bottle sounds like a new one. If a parent is not a worrier, then the bottle should be fine. If one is a worrier, then she can buy a new bottle. ...Read more

Anemia: You likely had low iron levels before pregnancy because of extra blood in your menses. During pregnancy your menses cease and iron has time to store up in your body. If you continued taking iron during your pregnancy you likely have extra stored up. It would be best to stop taking iron for now and restart when your primary doctor advises. ...Read more

You are young and: MVI (multivitamin) daily is great that isn't sold in the chain pharmacies or Costco may be higher quality. We can't recommend brands in this forum. So read the labels, and ask your pharmacist for recommendations. A good, balanced diet is even more important than MVI (multivitamin), as many don't even get absorbed from the binders used. So, get one with good trace mineral support. ...Read more
None: Unless you have known deficiencies in most of the vitamins in a multivitamin, or have a very restricted diet, you will probably get no benefit and may cause other medical problems.
