Best Face Cream For Age Spots
What is the best (reasonably priced) way to fade age spots on my face. Tried laser and some creams. Spots, veins and ruddiness remain. I'm only 41! :(?
Best spot treatment: Rather than shopping by price, you should look for someone who will give you some insight as to why these therapies have not met your expectations. Some expectations are simply unreasonable. Improvement is always the goal, not perfection. A good place to start is the dermatologist (i hope) who did your laser treatment. ...Read more

Both of these lesions are generally benign but evaluation by a ...Read more
I am 61 years old and noticed age spots on my face. What is the best approach to get rid of them. Creams? Laser? Retin-a?
What can I use to remove age spots on my face? I have tried several creams, but nothing seems to help.
Facial age spots: I am not sure if you are using otc creams or physician prescribed ones. I would consult with a local cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist so that the best topical and /or office treatment combination can be prescribed for you. Options abound, from peels, microdermabrasion, fractional resurfacing, ipl and hydrafacial among others. ...Read more

Stop usng face cream: Always important to keep all face creams away from the eye area in particular as the mucous membranes inside the lids are sensitive to chemicals. Can be toxic. Can also affect your cornea too & create blurred vision. Need to have it removed safely. See ur eye doctor or PCP today to have them inspected, and to safely irrigate your eyelids. Skin check first.: First, get a skin check. We need to rule out, and specifically treat any precancerous or cancerous lesions. If there are none, then you can look at modalities like ipl, facial peels, and laser peels or laser resurfacing, to improve the brown/ age spots. Retinols and retinoids can be helpful to lighten brown/ age spots. The daily use of an antioxidant sunscreen, on exposed skin cannot be overstated. ...Read more
Best cream to remove brown spots on face? I had them zapped 5 years ago and it's back? Its so sensitive after that I don't want to do it again. Thanks
Sun avoidance: I am sorry to hear about your facial spots.I don't believe any over the counter cream would treat your brown spots.I first advise you stay away from the sun and use a good sunscreen as a preventive measure. My mother had this issue and she just started to avoid direct sun light and use a sunscreen with good results. I would advise you speak to the dermatologist who did the zap treatment for help ...Read more

Yes: Intense pulsed light (ipl) is a quick and effective way to fade unwanted skin pigment with little downtime. Permanent removal of unwanted skin pigment is much more difficult without permanently affecting the rest of your skin's natural skin color. Ipl followed by good skin care, sun protection and use of hydroquinone can extend the results of treatment but periodic touch-ups will be necessary. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have a pimples and their spots on my face which cream is best to remove this plz suggest i have a oily skin?
Wash or cream: I would suggest trying a wash and/or cream with benzoyl peroxide as it is easy (at least here) to obtain and tends to work fairly well. If not, salicylic acid works as well but not quite as well for more significant acne. If these don't work, I would suggest a visit with your doctor for prescription options such as a topical retinoid . Good luck! ...Read more
Can i prevent my age spots from getting any worse? I have recently began seeing age spots worsening on my face and hands. I know that this is due to many years in the sun and i now wear sunscreen every time i will be outside for an extended period of time
I : I would recommend you apply a broad spectrum sunscreen with at least spf 30 every day. In addition, consider using a combination of tretinoin cream with hydroquinone (prescribed by your dermatologist) or a facial system such as obagi which helps blend in discoloration of the skin. Another option would be to have a few of the darker age spots treated lightly with liquid nitrogen which can peel off the surface pigment or consider an intense pulsed light laser treatment. But most important, wear your sunscreen every day! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
